Dear Oakwood Families,
At Oakwood Avenue Community School, we believe that strong partnerships between school and home help students succeed. As a Title I School, we are committed to providing meaningful opportunities for families to stay informed, engaged, and involved in their child's education.
✅ How We Support Family Engagement:- Annual Parent & Family Engagement Meeting each September• Flexible meeting times, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings
• Monthly parent meetings, PTO meetings, and Principal Chat & Chew events
• Parent workshops focused on academics, assessments, technology, and social-emotional learning
• Family academic nights in areas such as Math, ELA, and STEM
• Translation and interpretation services available in Spanish and Haitian Creole.
📚 Stay Connected- We encourage all families to participate in school events, provide feedback through surveys, and work with us to support student achievement.
🤝 Together, families, students, and school staff share the responsibility for helping every child reach their full potential.
