At Oakwood Avenue Community School, we are committed to creating a learning environment where every student can focus, participate, and thrive. As part of New Jersey's statewide expectations regarding student cell phone use, our school will be implementing a Bell-to-Bell Cell Phone and Personal Electronic Device Policy for all students. 

Under this policy, students may not use, access, display, or listen to cell phones, smart watches used for communication, earbuds, headphones, or other personal electronic devices during the school day. Devices must remain powered off and stored in YONDR pouches and placed in backpacks, lockers, or designated locations from arrival until dismissal.

Our goal is not simply to restrict technology. Rather, we want to ensure that students are fully engaged in learning, building positive relationships, and developing healthy habits around technology use.

If you need to contact your child during the school day, please call the school's main office. Likewise, students who need to contact a parent or guardian will be provided access to a school phone.
